What benefit does Russia have in blowing the dam? It mostly flooded their side of the river and made crossing much more difficult. While that can be a defensive move, they are the invaders.
It’s like the pipeline. Not sure anyone believes that Russian blew up their own pipeline. There is absolutely no benefit to Russia doing that.
The dam wasn’t blown up, can’t find it now, but there’s a video explaining it was Russian incompetence that caused the failure
