War is happening. LV’s exchange student from a few years back is hiding in a basement while his city burns. He and I are still friends… Facebook standard friends, to be fair… but he shares things. I worry when I don’t see a post on his feed for over 12 hours. What he says what’s happening is harsh.

I hope your friend is well Q, We have friends from and with family in Lithuania, Latvia, Poland who, over the past 20 years have all seen this coming predicting it would begin in Ukraine. Hopfully the sanctions will break the bear and quickly.

2 of my close friends in secondary school were Ukrainian and Russian, and Sara’s grandparents came to NY from Ukraine. Sara’s mum loves RT and Putin. We avoid conversation on that 
RE: cameras… Kyiv, and Ukraine is pretty big - nearly twice the size of Germany and more than twice the UK. But this post does paint the bigger picture, indeed.
